Soronko Academy is a social enterprise that provides young people especially women and girls, with skills to help prepare them for the future of work, bridge the gender gap in technology and become economically independent.
Djembe was tasked to develop a new website and implement a tailored media campaign, targeted at top-tier pan-African media houses to increase grants, drive student enrolment and overall, build on founder and CEO’s profile in the media.
Djembe used a repository of key journalists to place strategic articles covering women empowerment though tech skills, the importance of soft skills in training and the future of work, specifically for women. Media relations also included dissemination of press releases covering the Academy’s partnerships, in particular with the Mastercard Foundation.
